Booking Terms & Conditions

By paying a deposit I hereby accept the following terms and conditions:

Deposits:

A $50 deposit is required to secure your booking.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable and form the cancellation fee if a booking is cancelled.

Remaining balance is due 7 days before booking date

Booking fee & further remaining balance to be paid by EFT into account provided

Hairstyling:

To ensure desired hairstyle please make sure hair has been washed the day before. If hair is wet, a $50 blow dry fee will apply.

If you have tight, curly hair and you would like a smooth hairstyle, please pre-straighten your hair unless you have booked for an extended styling session.

If you have clip-in extensions please advise, as extra time must be allocated to the service.

Bridal Makeup Preview Appointments:

Bridal services require a preview appointment in advance of your wedding day. This should be booked no later than 2 weeks before the wedding day. Makeup trials are $180 for makeup and $280 for hair & makeup. Please allow 2 - 3 hours so that a full consultation can take place. Its advised to wear something that will suit the finished look such as a dress or nice top, to get the full effect of how the look will come together on the day.

Travel Fee/ Parking:

Minimum travel fee is $40. Travel is calculated per km, once an address is supplied a more accurate quote can be given. Any parking fees must also be paid by you, the client.

Changes:

All deposits are non-transferrable.

Reductions in the number of services are not allowed after initial quote is accepted. Any additional number, changes on location or timing on the day will be accommodated wherever possible.

Cancellations/Postponements:

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, please notify Megan as soon as possible. All payments are non- refundable/ non-transferrable and therefore will not be refunded in the case of any cancellation.

In the event that you need to postpone your booking, your deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to secure your new date.

If Megan does not feel she is the right fit for you, she is liable to cancel the booking. Megan will not offer a refund for deposits or services which have been completed.

Health & Safety:

To ensure Megan, her team and clients safety, she reserves the right to refuse service on any clients displaying signs of headlice or contagious viral or bacterial symptoms including and not limited to, vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, conjunctivitis, cold sores.

‘Megan Farquharson Makeup Artist or MF FX Studio’ is not, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. The onus is on the client to give advance notification to Megan if you or any of your group/ wedding party have particular hypersensitivity that you are aware of.

If you or any of your party are unwell please contact Megan immediately.

Megan requires an adequate area to set up her station to deliver the service you expect. If area isn’t adequate, delays may be unavoidable. Access to a safe working power, dining/ low chair for hairstyling, bar stool for makeup and medium/ large table for equipment.

Megan will require a well-ventilated space for the hairstyling service.

Children and pets in attendance of the booking are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

COVID Precautions

Whilst my policy states that all deposits are strictly non-refundable/ non- transferrable, I appreciate the uniqueness of this circumstance and will endeavour to explore alternative options around this specific occasion.

Other

In the extremely rare and unprecedented event that I am unable to attend the appointment to provide services on the scheduled booking date, I will make every attempt to find a similar calibre artist for the client. In this situation only, will the booking be refunded or transferred to the new artist. However, the limit of liability is a full refund of all monies already paid for the services for the affected date only.
